Cornerstone Workforce Readiness and Certification Tracking
Before the board meeting, not after
Your leadership sees reliable numbers and your auditor gets what they need in minutes. Underneath, GroveDeck Logic watches certification and completion status around the clock and a Certified Cornerstone Expert owns the data quality, so what leadership sees is what actually happened.
A board meeting surfaces a bench strength request. Your leadership needs reliable numbers, not a three-hour Excel reconcile of reports that may have drifted since your HRIS changed fields. With a reporting cadence already running, the data is ready the moment they ask.
A safety cert can expire quietly. The renewal window passes, the gap sits in someone’s training record, and a healthcare organization or government contractor is carrying a compliance exposure nobody caught. Logic catches that before it happens, so the manager who can act hears about it early.
You keep the reporting strategy. We take the data quality.
How Logic handles this
The right manager hears about an expiring cert early, with time to act, not after the gap opened. Logic watches certification and completion status around the clock, not in batch exports, and routes escalation the moment one approaches expiry. Cornerstone doesn’t re-enroll on its own, so we build a renewal workflow that starts before the gap opens. The Certified Cornerstone Expert who built it owns it month to month, and it stays current when someone changes a field in Workday.
For skills, your leadership opens one view and trusts it. We reconcile Cornerstone against your HRIS and set a cadence that keeps the data defensible, and a Certified Cornerstone Expert builds the dashboard inside Cornerstone, so leaders see the same metrics, definitions, and filters every time. Nobody’s maintaining a spreadsheet to make that true.
What’s included
Certification tracking and renewal
Nobody’s cert lapses unnoticed. Continuous watching, a workflow that re-enrolls before expiry, and escalation to the manager who can act.
Skills data hygiene
“Proficient” means one thing across the org. HRIS reconciliation, stale-tag cleanup, and a validation cadence so the data holds up.
Compliance assignment and escalation
The right training lands on the right people by job code, and the reminder reaches the supervisor who can act, not just whoever owns the LMS queue. Learning assignments built on your org structure.
Executive reporting
Leadership opens the same view every time: completion dashboards, bench-strength views, and board-ready compliance summaries, kept current month to month.
Audit-ready learner records
An auditor’s request takes minutes. Accurate training records, completion evidence, and export workflows behind it.
Talent pipeline reporting
You can see who’s ready to step up: succession readiness, role-gap analysis, and development-plan tracking.
Four steps to data you can stand behind
1. Assess reporting quality
An audit of your reports, skills data, and certification tracking, with plain findings on what you can rely on today.
2. Fix the data plumbing
The work that makes reports trustworthy: skills reconciliation, training-record cleanup, org-chart alignment, and HRIS field mapping.
3. Design the reporting cadence
We work alongside your executives to build the dashboards they’ll open. Agree on definitions, filters, and refresh schedule, then document it so the knowledge lives in the platform, not in one person’s head.
4. Watch and keep it current
You hear about drift from us, not from an auditor. Logic watches for org changes that break learning assignments, HRIS updates that orphan skill tags, and workflows that stop firing, and a Certified Cornerstone Expert fixes them before they surface.

| GroveDeck | Big consultancy | One in-house analyst | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Board reporting | On your cadence, ready before the meeting | A quarterly deck, weeks after you asked | Queued behind every other request |
| Certification visibility | Managers see who’s certified, who’s overdue, who’s ready, at any moment | A point-in-time assessment | Accurate when someone reruns the report |
| Data integrity | Logic keeps completions and learning assignments recording correctly underneath | Assumes your data was right to start | Depends on the reports they pull from |
| Audit readiness | Records the auditor can trust, current every day | A snapshot, stale by the audit | One person’s filing system |
| Who’s accountable | The Certified Expert who signed off | An account manager and a ticket queue | One person, who also takes leave |
Common questions
How do you handle skills data that’s already a mess?
We start with a side-by-side audit of skill tags, proficiency definitions, and coverage in Cornerstone against your HRIS. We fix the setup, clear the backlog of records, and build the workflows that keep it clean, so leaders stop second-guessing the numbers.
Can you build leadership dashboards without exporting data out of Cornerstone?
Yes. Leadership gets one consistent view they can open any time. We build inside the platform: report views, executive dashboards, scheduled delivery, with nobody maintaining a spreadsheet behind it.
What happens when a certification expires before renewal completes?
The manager hears about it early. Cornerstone doesn’t re-enroll on its own, so we build a renewal workflow that starts typically 30 to 60 days before expiry, with escalation to the learner’s manager if the deadline is missed. For high-risk certifications, we add extra safeguards.
How does compliance training escalation work?
The right manager gets notified, with context, at the right time. We work alongside your team to design paths that match your org structure: first-line manager at day seven, HR business partner at day fourteen, department head at day twenty-one.
Can you connect Cornerstone reporting to our existing BI tool?
Yes, if that’s the right approach. Cornerstone publishes a Reporting API that feeds Power BI directly. For Tableau, Workday Prism, or another platform without a documented path, we build the extract, handle the field mapping, and keep the data feed clean.
What we also do
Managed administration: your week stops being the LMS help desk. We own the daily platform work, permissions and enrollments included, so nothing sits in a queue waiting on someone.
Integrations & automation: Cornerstone and Workday and SAP agree, and stay agreed. The HRIS reconciliation that keeps your workforce data clean runs itself.
